2016 MPGA New England Regional Tournament Champions

In 2016 MPGA hosted the first New England regional adaptive golf tournament, over a dozen new adaptive players entered in all divisions.

It was a perfect day for this 9 hole championship event, a day to remember on Nov. 8 2016, it was clear, calm, sunny, 65 degrees and, our new president was elected

Career first Hole-in-One

In 1991, Stephen B Kuketz was injured left eye blind and became a paraplegic. I tried to golf, but quickly realized my seated manual wheelchair position was unsuitable to hand-propel me through the course, let alone to strike the ball consistently with accuracy. It was ergonomically impossible!

In 2016, after a 25 year hiatus I learned to play golf again one-armed play at the indoor adaptive golf clinic at the YMCA provided by the Spaulding Sports Center, Rick the PGA teaching pro brought life to my swing and stance using a specialized golf cart I am playing golf again,It was very exhilarating!

On August 1, 2016 it went perfectly on hole 5, 151 yards a couple hops and then it rolled right into the 4.25" cup, my first career Hole-in-One at the Leo J. Martin Memorial Golf Course, Weston, MA.
